Hi, we’re Cara and Dan—life partners, and the founders of Put a lid on it.

Put a lid on it was borne from a love of sharing meals and bringing people together—at home, at friends, at the beach, or in the park. We love connecting with people over food, but there was always a problem. We were stuck choosing between ugly plastic containers, plastic wrap stretched over heavy ceramic trays, disposable foil trays, or the constant juggle of transferring food from one dish to another. It was messy, complicated, and far from beautiful. How could we store, travel, and serve without the stress?

So, we designed beautiful servingware with a fitted lid that snaps on tight—practical and beautiful. Problem solved.

As a family, we’ve always been environmentally conscious and deeply committed to reducing our environmental impact. That meant our servingware had to be truly aligned with our values. Every piece is made from recycled plastic that can be recycled again, keeping plastic out of landfill. And because supporting local matters to us, all our products are all proudly made in Australia.

At the heart of it all, we want to help you connect more easily. From weeknight dinners to picnics and celebrations, it’s shared moments with the people you love that inspire everything we do.
